Posted in the other Quark forum, but I know some of you don't even know where that is...
The 2015 Kinzie was a disappointing successor the Quark. It didn't fix what was wrong and added something not needed.
There will be a "Droid Turbo 3" in the 4th quarter, as well as international variant -- just like the last two years. Don't know the code name yet, but here's hoping they don't mess it up. This new ZTE Axon 7 is very much what I hope the "premium" top tier end of year phone will be...
I agree about the design. It's like they stuck a postage stamp fingerprint sensor at the bottom with crazy glue.
I'm hoping they will keep the 1440p AMOLED display and fix what was deficient in the 2014 Quarks, not what was not. In the 2015 Kinzie they did not add rear camera OIS nor stereo speakers, but instead added that gimmicky plastic display thingy -- which actually picked up MORE scratches.

ZTE AXON 7 - specs and hands on review
http://ift.tt/25zyaeT
Read the specs on the new ZTE Axon 7. Add Qi wireless, IR sensors, 4000 mAh battery and that's the phone I want to be the Moto Z Force. ;)
1440p AMOLED display. Snapdragon 820. Tons of LTE bands. Rear camera OIS, stereo speakers. In-display fingerprint sensor! (NOT just stuck at the bottom to take up space.)
Comes with either 4GB RAM/64 GB or 6GB RAM/128GB configuration. Both have microSD expansion. $450 for the minimum configuration. Unbelievable.

Lots of other great stuff -- on screen fingerprint sensor (not one that takes up space at the bottom of the phone), and a dual sim card slot for people who travel a lot. Just needs Qi wireless charging, bigger battery, and IR sensors.

SEE? Lenovo, you can do this for the 2016 "Moto Z Force"/Droid Turbo 3!

Of course Lenovo won't talk about that end-of-year premium phone next week. Next week is a sales pitch to convince the suckers to buy these other phones. ;) The "good" stuff will be reserved for 4th quarter, just like the previous two years (2014 Quark and 2015 Kinzie). |

| The new phone has Qualcomm's highest-end processor, 4 or 6GB of RAM, a quad HD AMOLED display, metal chassis, quick charging, and a new dual-speaker system with Dolby surround sound. You might expect to pay upwards of $600 or $700 for a device with those specs, but ZTE says the new phone will cost under $500 when it arrives in the US in the coming weeks. |

| And while it has enough bands to support all US phone networks, it'll only work with AT&T and T-Mobile SIM cards for now. Verizon and Sprint compatibility is due "possibly later in the year," resting in the hands of the two CDMA carriers to flip the switch. All of the antennas are inside - this isn't just a GSM phone. The good news here is that it's packed with 64GB of internal storage and will cost $449 (about £340, AU$691). You won't have to deal with a pesky two-year (or any) contract for that price. ZTE Axon 7 review There's also a 128GB ZTE Axon 7, which includes the company's own take on a "Force Touch" display, an always-on screen and 6GB of RAM. That makes it faster than the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge |
