Hello. Yesterday me friend gave me Fire TV 2. Today I started to play this thing. The problems started at beginning I've paired remote connected to wifi network and connection was successful the second step was update and I see such info Unable to update Fire stick TV so I disconnected power reboot and once again the same message hmmmm... I've contacted with amazon and they told me that device was not fully fulfilled so nice lady registered device on my account and bang finally I could register on my account on Fire TV and I think great the device started to working now :) but I've checked and see I have old firmware on this device so I want to update this and here is my problem the device never ends "checking for update..." in settings menu. My firmware version is 5.0.4 536116920. Could someone help me manually update firmware example via adb or other way ? I'll be very glad for any help. I don't know history of this device and I don't know is it ROOTed or not :(
