Hi Folks,
I've really screwed up one of my S5s.
Being smart (read stupid), I decided to back up my perfect S5 rom and settings through TWRP and restore to the other S5. This wouldn't work because one would not recognise the other's backup file/folder so I changed the folder name of one to match the other so that it would restore.
Fast forward a month and I won't use the phone and I have no phone signal apart from limited 4G (no 1G or 2G at all) and sod all phone signal. I figured it was the custom rom I used so did a stock rom restore to the correct S5 900F BTU rom for the United Kingdom and the issue is still there!
So finally, I go into 'phone info' and see that the phone is now listed as having the same IMEI and serial number as the other phone and does not reflect what is under the battery. It also says that product code is 'unavailable'.
From my research, it would seem that I restored another phones EFS folder as well where all this data is stored but now I have no idea what to do!
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I restore these settings? I have already tripped Knox so Samsung isn't an option...
Thanks in advance.
Chris
