Launcher or theme with rounded folders in the middle of the screen ???

Hello together, i need your help :)
I use nova launcher with OP3. The only thing i do not linke is the look of the folders.
I am looking for an Theme, Launcher or what ever, which shows the folder in the middle of the screen with rounded corners
(similar to EMUI or iphone).
Do you have an idea how I could get this?
Here an example: at the bottom of the site (http://ift.tt/2c4KyiH)

I tried EMUI Launcher but it is not as in the previews (it is more like nova standard)

[Mandatory] XDA-Developers and the GPL

XDA-DEVELOPERS AND THE GPL

Hello Everyone,

As many of you know, here at XDA we have strict policy regarding GPL v2. What you may not understand is what that means and what effects it may have on you. Simply put "The GNU GPL is a software license agreement, under which parts of the Android operating system are licensed. The majority of Android is licensed under the Apache license, but the Linux Kernel (which is present in every running Android ROM in some shape or form) is licensed under the GPL (version 2)".

So what does this mean for the average user?

To keep things simple, this license is one of the reasons Android exists in the open source capacity that it does. It requires developers to keep their kernel source open and has created the community sharing programs that have made Android so wonderful.

If you are a developer what does this mean for you?

It doesn't matter if you are creating a whole rom or just the kernel, the process of being GPL compliant is a very simple one to explain. Basically, we expect you to either link the source that you have chosen to use or upload the source you have created into a format that can be viewed by everyone and anyone. Below are the 3 most common situations that developers run into when needing to stay GPL compliant under XDA rules.

1. If you are using a stock kernel you MUST mention where you obtained your source. Also, having a link leading to where the manufacture has uploaded their source is always helpful.

2. If you are using a community driven source build (e.g. CyanogenMod, AOSP, or Parandroid) or a singular developer's source you MUST link directly to the repository that contains the kernel for that specific device. If you are only linking to another thread or to a general repository, this will not be considered as being GPL compliant unless the code has not been modified.

3. If you are forking a repository that is similar to the examples listed above in #2, you MUST publish and link your entire kernel source. This includes any and all changes that you have made. Two of the most common ways developers publish their source on XDA is either with Gerrit, or GitHub. While these two methods are recommend, they are not the only routes you can choose to accomplish this. All that is required is that the source can be viewed and downloaded by anyone who wishes to do so. When releasing an update, your repository must be updated the moment you release your kernel on XDA. If you can post your update to XDA, there should be no reason as to why you cannot release your source.

What if the manufacture for my device has not released their kernel source?

In a perfect world this would not happen but unfortunately this is not the case. Pulser-G2 recently wrote a portal article explaining a certain situation that has come across our desks.

With all of that being said I will leave you with this...

By posting your work on XDA-Developers, you are agreeing that it complies with relevant licensing conditions. As such, by posting a kernel or other work containing GPL code, you are confirming to us that you have made this source code available publicly under the GPL. Failure to follow this policy will result in the closure of your thread and the removal of the download links.

[RECOVERY] Carliv Touch Recovery v3.3 for Avvio 795

Code:

* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this Recovery
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/

Carliv Touch Recovery 3.3

It is a CWM based recovery and is compatible with any other CWM based recovery. It works with KITKAT kernels. In this version I used Napstar-xda's full touch module as base. The navigation it is posible by touching the menu item. In long display menu (as choose zip from sdcard) for scroll page down Swipe Right and for scroll page up Swipe Left. For Go Back also Swipe Left.
If the Swipe doesn't work (usually if your phone is multitouch but has only 2 points of touch), use bottom virtual navigation keys or volume buttons Down for Scroll down, Up for Scroll up, and the back button for Go Back.

Features:
Version 3.3 update (21-apr-2015):
This is the last batch of builds for porting. I won't do that anymore.
- many fixes in code;
- cleaned up the source code;
- reset battery stats option;
- wipe all - preflash option;
- removed nvram backup/restore because it can corrupt the bootloader;
-full track of changes here.

Sim card unrecognized.

Hi guys! I flashed the cm12.1 rom and then the gapps zip. Everything worked fine but with no LTE. So I flashed a 6045l 6.x modem radio and now the sim card is undetected. I flashed back to stock MM and my sim card is still undetected. Is there a fix for this?

I'm on the cricket USA michigan service on the 6945l model.

Do you think our Redmi 2 has a shot at Android Nougat 7.0?

Right after Google released Android Nougat 7.0 and made the source available for developers to tinker with, devices started getting unofficial builds, even the ones that weren't officially supported but that's the beauty of Android, isn't it?
At the time of writing this, a bunch of developers have already booted up Nougat on their phones and are trying to fix whatever bugs are left.
So, coming to the point, do you think that we'll get an Android Nougat build? Considering that recently a dual-core processor phone Xperia M just booted into Android Nougat and as we all know that currently we're running Marshmallow which some users including myself feel that it's a bit resource-intensive than Lollipop(I have the 1gb variant).

Background Apps keep closing

Hi,

I have the Droid Turbo 2 still on the lollipop build still, and whenever I try to use apps in the background such as music streaming, or google maps navigation they will always close after a couple of minutes. I have factory reset the phone and still get this issue. Is it a problem with the phone, or perhaps the build it is on? If anyone has any insight that would be awesome!

Does Le2 (x526) have Quality issues??

Hi XDA members

I'm planning to buy Le2 SD variant as they are giving good offers for 1Million celebration in India. But the reviews are mixed. Does it really have any issues like display, fingerprint sensor, camera. Even it has, can it be fixed with software update or fixes by devs.

I messed up and now I'm stuck on FRP lock

Ok so admittedly I made a noob mistake and inadvertently unchecked OEM unlock and rebooted. So I'm stuck on FRP lock. From what I see, my only option is to flash the original firmware on the phone.

My question is simple: I don't have TWRP and can't do a NAND backup. Will my internal SD card get wiped as well? If so, is there ANY way I can back it up before hand??

Thanks...

Mobile 14393.103 - unable to unenroll from Insider

Hi,

I am on 14393.103 mobile with Lumia 950 and decided to unenroll from Insider programm.
I went to settings and clicked Stop receiving builds. Then the dialog wanted to restart the phone so I clicked reboot now.
The phone did not reboot, tried it many times.
Manual reboot does not work.

I also discovered issue with downloading new apps from Store, I am getting 0x80070005 error when acquiring license.

How could I repair this without hard resetting my phone?
Soft reset did not work for this issue.

Poor Recording Sound Quality on AOSP ROMs

Hello XDA fellows~
I have been having a very annoying issue on various AOSP ROMs including ROMs based on CM. On stock ROM, no matter how loud the environment sound is, the recording always sounds perfectly but when it comes to AOSP ROMs, the quality of recorded sound is very much worse as compared to stock rom. Even worse, when I record in a loud environment, the sound will be very distorted. This is the only obstacle blocking me from using the aosp roms even though they still get more love from me than stock rom.
Since I always use Snapchat and I have to admit I am a party guy :p which is why I really can't live with this issue. I never had this problem on my others devices running aosp roms.
Does anyone get annoyed from the same issue as well?

Suddenly No Service?

I have the LG-VK810 from Verizon. It worked fine last night while playing PoGo. Plugged it into the charger before bed. Woke up this morning and everything works except for my 4G radio. I have 0 signal. No bars.

I have factory reset the tablet, pulled and put the sim card back in, checked my mobile network settings.. nothing is bringing my signal back, has my radio just burnt out?

If so, I have a spare VK810 that doesn't work, would it be possible to simply swap the radios?

Thanks in advance.

From Nexus ROM 1.4.3 to CM13

Hello. I have Kindle Fire HDX with NexusROM firmware (1.4.3), Anroid version: 4.2.2, Kernel version: 3.4.0, Safestrap Recovery v3.72(TWRP v2.7.0.0) and my ROM slot is stock
I want to upgrade my firmware to CM13 without bricking my device.
The steps are:
1) Rollback to .3.2.4 (.3.2.4 Rollback Images) (replace stockrom slot?)
2) Install .3.1.0 stock update firmware. (But where can i take it?)
3) Unlock bootloader with 1-Click bootloader.
4) Install TWRP 3.0.2.0 using Flashify
5) Flash CM13
Does this steps are correct?

Whats up with the Note 7 gift promotion shipping?

Has anyone else's promotional gift (SD Card / Gear Fit 2) gotten a shipping label and just sat for days without moving? I was sent a tracking number, but tracking just says the label was created on Friday and it hasn't moved since (Wednesday as of the writing of the post).

Has anyone else's gift had shipping issues? I'm wondering if it's time to start making some calls to get this thing moving.

If it matters, I went with the Gear Fit 2.

[Q&A] WiFi stuck on turning on; MAC 02:00:00:00:00:00; G2 G3 G4 G5 Nexus5 Nexus 7 etc

Hi!
If you are reading this now, you are probably one of the unlucky fellows who's WiFi (and Bluetooth) stopped functioning, and if so, you are probably deperately searching for a solution/fix. I might have something for you, but first:

*** DISCLAIMER/WARNING ***
You yourself are exclusively responsible for whatever may (or may not) happen to your mobile device, to yourself or others. I am only giving hints/advices here that *MAY* help, but I will not take any responsability, nor will I provide any support, in absolutely *ANY CASE*, including, but not limited to: your problem not being solved or/and your mobile device becoming partially or completely broken. Let me be very clear: If you do anything to your device rendering it useless, destroying it, seriously or fataly injuring you or others, and then come blaming me or/and cry for help, I will point my index finger at you and laugh at you. Period.

If you are a impatient person and want to get straight to the point, jump right to section 6.

0. Foreword
Two or three months ago, one fine morning, the WiFi/BT of my LG G2 suddenly stopped working. Initially I thought this would be only one stupid annoying minor thingy, that I'd be able to solve it fast. I was wrong.

1. Description of the problem
When turning on the WiFi, it would just stay in "Turning on..." forever. Similar thing for Bluetooth: It would stay on for a few seconds and then turn itself off again after. (But then, who needs Bluetooth anyway, WiFi ist probably 100 times more important...). I have thoroughly searched the internet, and I found quite some videos with exactly the same problem (remove the two blanks from the links to watch):
h ttps://w http://ww.youtube.com/watch?v=fRGnQz1zUmw
h ttps://w http://ww.youtube.com/watch?v=4W8YJMDFM88
h ttp://w http://ift.tt/2bBRt4T

2. Urgent advice
I want to prevent you from wasting countless hours searching for a solution - I wasted so much of my time already, no need for you to repeat that. Therefore: *Please* be aware that there is a VERY HIGH PROBABILITY that this issue is being caused by a hardware defect. I can not speak for all devices of course, but keep in mind that the main reason I wasted so much time, was me beliving it was some software issue! See the next section for a glimpse of stuff I have tried without any success:

3. Things that *DIDN'T* work
01. Restarting WiFi/Bluetooth several times
02. Rebooting the phone
03. Turning airplane mode on/off several times
04. Slapping/hitting the phone (this was indeed suggested in a forum)
05. Using WiFi-Fixer apps
06. Resetting to factory settings
07. Upgrading to newest Android version
08. Fully drained the battery and left it uncharged for several hours
(Rooted the phone)
09. Deleting the /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
10. Deleting the whole /data/misc/wifi folder
11. Creating a file named ".bdaddr" in /persist/bluetooth containing a MAC-Address in hexadecimal format
12. Creating a file named ".macaddr" in /persist/wifi containing a MAC-Address in hexadecimal format
13. Flashing several custom ROMs to it (CyanogenMod, ParanoidAndroid, ...)
14. Going back to stock ROM
15. etc. etc. etc.
16. Several combinations and permutations of the above

4. There is little hope
Again, as the cause of the problem is most likely a hardware issue, I don't recommend going through all the steps as described in the previous section; however, though none of the steps worked for me, this doesn't mean that none won't work for you neither; you might be luckier than I was. In that case, enjoy your restored WiFi and be happy. :)

5. My most obvious advice
You need to replace the motherboard (main board) of your device.
Honestly, if you can afford it and it doesn't cause too many inconveniences to you, you'll be better off by simply buying a new device. If you don't want to buy a new device, send it in for repairs. If you don't want to do that as well, you'll have to fallback to a DIY solution:
I. Buy a new main board for your device. Be careful to get exactly the right component for your specific model. If you dont find any shop selling those, there are plenty of individuals out there that own devices with broken displays. You dont need the displays, you need the motherboard. Buy one such broken device, and you'll have your main board replacement.
II. Replace your main board or let someone else do it for you

2. Urgent advice
I want to prevent you from wasting countless hours searching for a solution - I wasted so much of my time already, no need for you to repeat that. Therefore: *Please* be aware that there is a VERY HIGH PROBABILITY that this issue is being caused by a hardware defect. I can not speak for all devices of course, but keep in mind that the main reason I wasted so much time, was me beliving it was some software issue! See the next section for a glimpse of stuff I have tried without any success:

3. Things that *DIDN'T* work
01. Restarting WiFi/Bluetooth several times
02. Rebooting the phone
03. Turning airplane mode on/off several times
04. Slapping/hitting the phone (this was indeed suggested in a forum)
05. Using WiFi-Fixer apps
06. Resetting to factory settings
07. Upgrading to newest Android version
08. Fully drained the battery and left it uncharged for several hours
(Rooted the phone)
09. Deleting the /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
10. Deleting the whole /data/misc/wifi folder
11. Creating a file named ".bdaddr" in /persist/bluetooth containing a MAC-Address in hexadecimal format
12. Creating a file named ".macaddr" in /persist/wifi containing a MAC-Address in hexadecimal format
13. Flashing several custom ROMs to it (CyanogenMod, ParanoidAndroid, ...)
14. Going back to stock ROM
15. etc. etc. etc.
16. Several combinations and permutations of the above

4. There is little hope

Root and Warranty

Hi. Reading many threads I understood the only way to root the phone is by bootloader unlock.
But I haven't never understood if one or both of these procedures can invalidate warranty (like Samsung) or not.

Best way to contact Google support for Pixel C

I have just lost Keyboard BT. I have tried many remedies but to no avail. It just sits there saying Connecting...

I have tried to contact Google for support but I can't find a number.
"Welcome to the Pixel Help Center" tells me to use Nexus support. When I go there, it tells me to use Manufacturer support and to select a manufacturer. Google is not on their list.

I did find a screen that asks me to enter a call back number and I am support to get a call in "two minutes". It has been hours and no call.

I am in Georgia, USA. Does anyone have a good method to contact Pixel support?

iPhone 6 / 6S Full Cover Protective Case Review from rosegal.com

This case was actually pretty surprising to me. First of all, it has a very nice soft silicone feel to it. For me, this is great because it sort of causes some traction when you are holding the phone in your hand. Phones slipping is always a concern for me. Secondly, this case is super, ultra thin. It's probably the best case I've had my hands on that makes the iPhone 6 feel like there is no case on it. Even though it's thin, I feels solid and protective. This case comes packaged with a glass screen protector and is very easy to install. The case does come in two pieces that snap together. I've honestly never had a case come together so easily that was split design. All of the ports are completely accessible. The only critism I have is that the home button feels to be quite recessed. The TouchID still works fine, but it just feels a bit odd until you get used to it.

Code:RGCASE
Original price:$3.94
Coupon price:$1.99

It can be use for one piece product in each order. If they want to buy 2 pieces and both of them get the coupon price. They need to place two orders.

Brazilians are having issues with Sensors after M update

Hello everyone ! I've been having issues with the sensors since I've joined the BETA program. I knew that this was not a problem with my phone per se, because if I went back to lollipop everything worked. I did see other people with the same issue, however, it wasn't until today, when the M update came public that I noticed something.

Question for AT&T LTE users

So I get LTE but as soon as I get on a call signal goes to H and I cant use data/apps while on the call. Am I using the wrong APN settings, or wrong radio maybe? Any settings help would be great, or if you can confirm also. Thanks.

General question about battery life Android vs. Apple

I have two phones..iphone6+ (IOS 9.3.4) for work and oneplus one (CYGMOD 6.0.1) as private phone...

More or less I would expect similar battery usage basically due to the same screen size and usage of the same apps

I know what I am doing on Android, I know how to root, how to use xposed, amplifier, greenify and so on...

I noticed basically no battery usage at all when my iphone is screen off. After 8 or 9 hours of sleeping (talking about myself) with screen off my iphone usually still have 100%...Same for the oneplus one there are usually maybe 5-10% gone..maybe even more...

Its just my impression that battery usage with screen off is dramatically better for iphone than for android.

I love android....I just want to understand :)

1) Increasing the volume above the mid level locks my phone.
2) On trying to unlock it asks for pattern unlock which is quite strange given the phone is in middle of operations.

Have identified only these three issues yet with the volume control. Don't know what else it causes to fail. Please Help!!!

[Solved] Battery Problems Since MM

I don't know about anyone else, but I have had horrible battery life since MM. It has taken me all this time to figure out what the cause was. Nope, no rogue apps, simply a setting. I wanted to report it just in case their were others like me. My phone is important for work as I am a traveling IT engineer and rely heavily on my phone for troubleshooting, calling, and emails.

[App/Beta][7.0+] Custom Quick Settings

Custom Quick Settings
Beta testing community:
Description
This app adds custom quick settings toggle using native api's in Nougat and above. Control individual toggle, add/remove toggle etc. The app is currently in beta testing phase and is looking for beta testers. Beta testers will receive promo codes when the app reaches the release phase

What works:
1. Add an app to quick settings to quick launch it
2. Sync toggle to change sync state
3. Brightness toggle to activate/deactivate auto-brightness

Known Issues:
1. Longer app start time (Reason already known - because of a library. Will be fixed as soon as possible)
2. Force close rarely on listing the installed apps (reason unknown and seem to happen randomly)

How to download:

1. Join the beta testing community on G+ and wait for the invite to be accepted.
2. Once invite has been accepted, visit the link here to download the app from playstore.

Reporting bugs/Feature requests:
Bug reports can be done either here or on G+ community (prefered) with steps to reproduce and the version of the app which can be found from donate screen (menu->donate).

Feature requests like adding extra toggles (a lot to be added)are heartily welcome here. The app may require root in future to support even more toggles (no guarantee!).

Also, Looking for graphic designer for icon and banner art.

P.S: I wouldn't recommend testing the in-app purchase as its not yet robust and the payments are "REAL". Although if you still wish to test it, i'd appreciate it.

No radio signal. Help!

Hi, I'm having huge troubles with the signal on my Nexus 5X. I bought this phone a little more than a month ago and its signal have been bad since then. Right now it has completely lost the signal and I can't use it.
Some folks suggest me it could be a problem with the bands and maybe it could be modified someway and solve the problem. Please, I'm kind of desperate right now, and I'm want to make everything I can to solve this issue. The phone its very expensive for me and I don't want to lose that money.
A little more details: I live in Cuba and in some places in Havana the phone gets signal, but in other places it loses signal completely. I can't get warranty because a relative of mine bought the phone in the US and ini my country the warranty is not available.
If anyone have some idea that could help me, please, just point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.

Sony Xperia C4 E5303 Root to Marshmallow

Hi XDA community

I am new to the whole android rooting scene, I have the Sony C4 E5303, After almost 6 months of waiting for Marshmallow OTA update in South Africa, it has not come, i would really like to use adoptable storage feature. also i would like to have a rooted device for various other apps and games.

However my phone is still under warranty, i got it in February 2016.
Also google and youtube bring up quite a few sites and videos claiming to root.
But not sure how legit they are.

Maybe someone can help me?

Firstly do i wait till warranty is over?, will it be effected?

A step by step guide from a proper back up of data, and lollipop to revert back to

legit download source of tools and mods to use

and then step by step of how to do it.

I appreciate your patience, as i am a noob in this scenario. and thank you for all your help and suggestions

Have I Ruined my Galaxy Tab? Can't get into download mode?

When trying to fix a serious problem with my galaxy tab 3, a problem that a hard reset wouldn't fit, I seem to have made it much much worse.

I'm obviously far out of my depth and I have read so much online I'm now very confused. I can't boot into download mode - all it displays is this error screen.

I wanted it for a long bus journey I'm going on on Sunday that is the only reason it came out of storage.

Looking for any help anyone can give me.

Major DELAY when pressing/inputting/dialing numbers during call - GEM-703L B211 Stock

Hi,

During a call, I often need to enter codes to join meetings or to dial voicemail password. However there is sometimes a significant delay from when I press the number to when the number gets sent. Sometimes it's so bad that I have to hang up and redial!

Also, when I hang up, there is a 5 second delay until I hear the hang-up end-call beep - very annoying!

I thought it could be related to the fact that I have a lot of text messages stored and effecting memory usage, but I dont want to clear them to test because I need them.

I tried rebooting, clearing cache/data of phone app, etc, but nothing helped.

Anyone have a solution?

[feature request] auto change the TV refresh rate (Hz) to match the video (FPS)

hi guys, as a long time user of mx player pro i'd love to make use of it on my nvidia shield android tv as well. however, since nvidia implemented the ability for apps to change the TV refresh rate (Hz) to match the video (FPS) a couple of updates ago, it looks like mx player missed the boat in this respect to "competitors" like kodi, plex and archos :-/

please see below settings screens of both kodi / spmc and archos player (i could add plex settings as well if that helps) - I'd really love to see this option in mx player as well - many thanks!

Phone connection dropping to 2g

Today I received my 2nd sim card. Both of my cards are using the same network, both are capable of LTE, but they are from different carriers. My problem is that the data sim switches to 2g way too often and stays there. I can manually switch from 4g to 3g in the options, which solves the problem temporarily. After a few minutes, it may just switch to 2g again.
I am not sure if this problem is related to using dual sim, but I am pretty confident the times I used my older card for mobile data, thus not connecting to my Wifi, this was not the case. Currently, with both sims inserted into the phone, they behave the same if I switch data service around.
Is this a common issue?

LG Spirit H440AR's short lasting battery

Hey everybody.

I got this phone from my father who got himself a Samsung J1 Ace from my mother, and I must say it's really good, fast and reliable. However, I am noticing a very bad battery life on it that I'm not sure may be of normal reasons, (Wi-Fi and having apps open almost all the time, though I close all non-active) was not fully charged when the battery was new, (I asked my father about it, he said he did to 100% but then the other day he said my mother pulled the plug) or the battery is screwed up.

My normal battery life duration at 100% in the Battery panel says about +5 hours of battery life. This opens me a question, because I had a LG Optimus L2 with a 1540 mAh battery and this phone is a 2100 mAh one, and the LG Optimus lasted me about a day non-stop.

There was also one time where the battery was about of 88% and it said 12+ hours, but then it went back to say +5 when I was charging it.

Should I get a new battery? Is this normal at all? My routines are: YouTube videos, Wi-Fi, Battery Saver (built-in, not those shabby apps) and brightness to 0%.

Outdated Camera Version

So before Android M came out, the one major thing I was waiting for was the new Camera features that were promised to come for the S6. When it did come out, I was disappointed to find no extra camera features. I never really looked into it.

Now some context to this post. I've gone through at least 5 different Camera2 API apps trying to get something that produces sufficient quality pictures and doesn't have that strange 8MP limit while using C2API. Of course, none of them worked.

I've recently realized, surprised that this has never been brought up before, that the stock Camera App is the incorrect version (cue dramatic music). The camera app in Android M for the S6 Active is v4 (the one for lollipop) of the camera app, while on the standard S6 (from my knowledge) it is v5. v5 of the camera app adds the fabled extra controls to the S6, including shutter speed control, and perhaps a fixed C2API. Can anyone else attest to my suspicious? And what kind of solutions are there? I've tried tweeting both AT&T and Samsung with no luck.

I have attempted to install v5 manually from an extracted APK, but it was sourced from an s7, which may or may not be of any use. It said "failed to install".

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Android Test Cases

I am starting my Master Thesis which is more or less focussed on Android development and testing. Right now my question is, say I have developed an android application and have certain users who are already using my application. Is there a way where in I can push my custom test cases only to a specific set of users. For example, I have 300 users, I want to send the test cases only to people who are using Android 5.0, or only to users residing in Europe something like that. I have tried searching for this over the internet but unfortunately wasn't successful.

D850 Stock MM Rom to use with LGUP

I have hit the dreaded screen flickering issue, and using the folded paper trick think I can convince ATT that my phone is in tact enough for a tradein. The problem is I think I need to be on a non rooted ROM for them to accept me. I'm currently on Fulmics 6.1 and am trying to use the LGUP tool to get back to KK and out of root. LGUP wont recognize my phone with Fulmics, and Resurrection Rom had the same sort of problem. According the the LGUP thread I need a non customized ROM for it to work. I've searched all over and I can't find one for the D850. Does anyone know a ROM that should work?

Cursor problem with android TV Box

I have a coolead android TV box which is great except that when navigating pages the cursor is too small for me to see it properly even on a 48" UHD TV
Is there any app or method I can use to make the android cursor more visible - ideally bigger or prominent colour. The device runs Android 5.2? I am sorry if this is the wrong place but I couldn't find anything about Android TV boxes

Any FAST wireless car chargers out there ?!

Anyone find a FAST wireless car charger yet? From what I see the Samsung wireless car charger isn't FAST enabled, and it's pretty expensive. I've scoured Amazon and don't see any FAST ones either. I have a non car Choetech one rigged in my car with magnets, but it's an imperfect solution and I'd rather have one made for the car. It's too bad because iOttie has a super nice magnetic one, but it's not FAST charging. Anyone see anything?

Extremely slow charging without enabling fast charge

So I do understand that the Note 5 has fast charge and normally we should leave it enabled to enjoy the charging speed. But the thing is, when fast charging my phone heats up very fast and although it does charge fast, I feel like it could have a negative impact on the battery. So recently I tried turning the fast charge option off (in the battery settings). I expect it to charge normally like when you plug in a non-fast charge adapter, like the one from Note 4 for instance, but it's very very slow. Measuring via ampere it shows ~480 for a couple first minutes, then it drops to ~180 for the rest of the time, then the phone even shows a notification of charging slowly. And that's using the original fast charge adapter, even. Not sure what's happening here. Anyone has a similar experience?

[HELP] How to Install TWRP without PC.

Hello everyone,
I'm in a little trouble. I need to install custom recovery on my Xperia SP C5302 but I have no PC.
How can I install TWRP ( preferred ) / CWM/Philz on my device ? Is there any way ?

Thank You.

Note : There's a cyber cafe beside my house. But all their computers are running Windows XP.
If there's no way to install without PC then can I be able to install custom recovery on my device with Win XP ?

Thanks again.

Android 7.0 scrolling lag/choppiness and Android system and OS battery drain

A few hours after flashing the factory image, my 5x has been scrolling really choppily, it's not as noticeable when I fling the scrolling ( take my finger off the screen after flinging the scrolling direction) but it's extremely noticeable when I'm scrolling while keeping my finger on the screen. I'm not quite sure if this choppiness only affects scrolling, it could possibly be a frame cap, but I haven't really noticed any lag or choppiness when opening apps. I think this could also be due to the system optimizating the apps in the background since android system and Android OS have pretty high battery usage percentages, and I've been having worse battery life than I had when my 5x was on marshmallow. The phone gets woken up a lot when it's idle. I've reflashed the factory image again and once again for the first few hours the phone is fine and then after that the scrolling choppiness returns and the Android system and Android OS battery drain too. I'll probably roll back to marshmallow if these problems don't get better in a few days after the system is done optimizating the apps in the background. I just wanted to know if anyone else has been having these issues and if anyone has a way to make the scrolling smooth again (once again the scrolling is smooth for a few seconds after rebooting and then the choppiness comes back once again) thanks in advance.

1 - Go to settings / About Phone and tap seven times on Build Number

7- Now, you can run those commands one by one in adb shell

Code:

dd if=/sdcard/dhob.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p22
dd if=/sdcard/fsc.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p24
dd if=/sdcard/hob.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p21
dd if=/sdcard/keystore.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p36
dd if=/sdcard/carrier.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p38

Tell me if it works. It wrought fine for me on the europ firmware.

Adaptive Display changing white points in different light.

Hey guys, I was using my phone browsing the web when suddenly the white point changed! The screen turned slightly purple and I think it is due to Samsung's adaptive display and my purple LIFX bulbs.

Here is a video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujVIFA5LESQ

Any one notice this with their S6? Its running Marshmallow if you guys were wondering.

Music apps being killed - how to prevent

My phone is constantly killing the music apps I have running in the background playing. I am on official cm13 right now but experienced this with resurrection remix and miui 8 as well (even after locking the app in memory). I have this problem with both blackplayer and the cm music app preinstalled. My phone is the snapdragon with 2gb.

Can anyone suggest what i can try?

I tried charging the tablet with my original note 5 charger, with usb 2.0 cable. but it tells me that i need original charger to charge it faster.

Can someone please tell me the rated output power on charger and any recommendations for usb 3.0 cable.

[RECOVERY] Carliv Touch Recovery v5.7 for Bmobile AX810

Carliv Touch Recovery 5.7

This is a CWM based recovery and I did put up some work to update it to lollipop (cm 12.1) and marshmallow (cm-13) after official cwm development stopped at kitkat. It works with LOLLIPOP and MARSHMALLOW kernels and it builds with cm 12.1 or aicp lp-5.1 (version 5.2) and with cm 13 or aicp mm-6.0 (version 6.1).
This is for those who want a lighter and simpler recovery or they just liked CWM before. It's not as good or complex as twrp, but it will do the job just fine.
For gui I ported PhilZ Recovery full touch module.

Features:
- EXT4 and F2FS if you need it.
- full touch menu ported by me from PhilZ touch Recovery. The old Napstar-xda touch module was good but it's quite old and to update that was too much work. Actually There is a version 4 with that touch module, all working, but the touch doesn't work with some input drivers and I had to give up on it for the new and improved version from PhilZ.
- all cwm functionalities are up and working (adb, sideload, backup, restore, install, mass storage...). There is no mtp and if your phone doesn't have an external sdcard you can't connect it to PC while is in recovery mode. But there is usb-otg support, of course if your phone was shipped with that.
- added new menu for backup and restore advanced, to use it for backing or restoring only a specific partition and I also ported from PhilZ the multizip flashing function.
- in Carliv menu there is now a new section for flashing boot and recovery images. It is a feature that I needed during many recovery builds testing. I wanted an easier way to flash other image without booting to android and using an app like RashR. You can browse your storage locations for any image and after choose you will have to select on wich partition should that be flashed. I added multiple confirmations check to avoid flashing on wrong partition. This feature works only with boot and recovery images. I won't add other partitions to this because for other things there are multiple backup restore functions.
- for MTK phones (if the flag is used in Boardconfig) there is a new menu to backup and restore some important partitions like uboot, nvram an secro because they are involved in restoring a lost IMEI, and also the logo partition which may often get broken by bad ported ROMs.
- besides these all my old specific menus (aroma, rainbow...) are still in place.
- added support for dencrypting and mounting data partition using the builtin minivold from cyanogenmod with vdc commands (the ideea came from this post of Lekensteyn). Tested and working well with text ar hex passwords, and maybe will work with pin too but I don't think it will work with pattern .
- there is no included root solution. I choose to do it this way because there is no universal root solution now and someone may end up messing things with a non-working root option. You can flash a zip installer from Chainfire's SuperSu or other solution that may work for your phone.
